My personal experience
It all started from my childhood, that it was characterized by domestic violence episodes that my father put me through. I was just a kid when I was victim of bully, the continue harassing behavior from classmates. As a result that situation lead my anger and stress to develop through the years. Growing up didn’t get any better, every time I have to face someone that was testing my patience, I was getting angry.
But then one day things changed, I started to take control of my life again. I was feeling less stressed and angry about something or someone. I have finally learned to control my emotions and feelings. By using some simple but effective techniques on me, that lead to control of my feelings better.
I used to get angry and anxious to be late at work or meetup. This, consequently, would make me look bad towards others, especially when I was stuck in the traffic. Now, I manage to drive more relaxed, thinking that it’s not me the cause, because sometime is just life that gets in the way. I listen to the music, and distract myself from the problem of the traffic, but still focused on the road.
The positive change
Now, I want to take that experience and learning from myself and my emotions. I want to help others achieve the same freedom and peace of mind. I must say, that right now, I’m also enrolled in a course that will make me a qualified counsellor. Soon, I’ll be able to practice, which definitely brings more knowledge, skills and experience into my strategies and techniques. The techniques that I will adopt anyway, have already been tested by the experts.
I would also like to add that, my actual techniques and strategies are useful to guide you through your issues, but not the same adopted by a therapist. I in fact, suggest that if your symptoms require the treatment of a specialist. You do seek the treatment of a qualified counsellor, psychologist, or psychiatrist. The goal from the techniques that I will apply on you is to learn to accept who you are. To help you regain control of your life, and to feel a bit less anxious, stress, and angry.
